About Amelia Island's Animal Resort & Lodge
Fun in the sun or relaxing in the shade, your dog's happiness is our number one priority. Amelia Island's Animal Resort & Lodge was created for one single reason - to provide all dogs and dog parents the services, care and support they need and deserve. Opened spring 2019, we gladly offer resort housing for your furry friends along with spa treatments only our four-legged companions can appreciate. We also have veterinarians on staff to make sure all your pets needs are attended. Take a look throughout our site to learn more about all that we offer.
The History of the Resort
Dr. Jennifer Towles, owner of Amelia Island Animal Hospital, purchased the Rowland Family house on March 15, 2016. Due to the age and deterioration of the building, it took a few years to upgrade it to a commercial boarding facility with top grade "suites" and four outside fenced play areas. After promising the widow Rowland she would not tear down the house her husband built with his own two hands, Dr. Towles did everything she could to keep the integrity of the building and the beauty of the property the family enjoyed. She even kept the brick fireplace he laid. Dr Towles always dreamed of having a safe place for you to leave your dog.
